We hear it often and have probably said it, or at least thought it, a time or two. It can take on two distinct meanings… he’s kinda funny… that tastes kinda weird… I kinda want to go… Then there’s the “kinda” that is a bit more sinister. You kinda want a lot of things… you kinda want a better job… you kinda want to get in shape…you kinda want more time with your friends and family… you kinda want better health... You name it, you kinda want it; but are you willing to do what it takes to get what you want out of life?
Life can throw wrenches in our works… a nasty health diagnosis, a pending disaster within our family, the loss of a job… the times when we don’t have a choice but to take the bull by the horns, reach out and grab exactly what we need out of life. In these times, the word kinda doesn’t even cross our minds. How many stories have you read of someone overcoming a terrible disease by shear willpower and determination? The over-comers know there is no other option than to act every day.
I heard it said that the worst thing to hear at your funeral would be “Well, they had potential”. If you live a kinda life, you will die with your potential unrealized. We all have the seeds of greatness in us and it is up to us to choose to live a “kinda” life or a life worthy of our greatness.
Now… how different would life be if you chose every day to wake up, look yourself in the mirror, tell yourself that you’re awesome…unstoppable… powerful… you pick the adjective… and lived with the conviction of knowing you were not going to kinda live life, but live life to its fullest and be the best version of yourself you can be?
Get up, look yourself in the mirror, tell yourself the gifts you have in you and go get exactly what you want from your life. It’s up to you, and you have it within you to do it; don’t let kinda rob you of your future.

KINDA: it’s not really a word, but it has wormed its way into our vernacular.
